We are pleased to announce that we have signed with Macquarie Asset Management an agreement to acquire a portfolio of nine toll road concessions in India. The portfolio covers nearly 700 kilometres of highway sections in Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat, across strategic routes connecting key industrial, agricultural and logistics areas. In Andhra Pradesh, the assets are located along the NH-16 corridor, part of the Golden Quadrilateral between Kolkata and Chennai, one of the country’s main transport corridors.
This major development marks an important step for VINCI Highways, establishing a strategic footprint in one of the world’s major high-growth economies. We will draw on our operational and tolling expertise to support the next phase of development of these concessions, with a focus on optimisation, road safety, environmental performance and digital tolling, supported by our subsidiary ViaPlus in India.
