ViaPlus wins two free flow tolling contracts in India

31 March 2026

VINCI Highways’ tolling solutions specialist ViaPlus has won two free flow tolling contracts in India. Located on major roads in northern India, these projects come as the country moves forward with its ambition to expand free flow tolling and take the digitalisation of its road network to the next stage.

The new contracts cover tolling sites at Daulatpura, on the Delhi–Jaipur route, and Badarpur, on the Delhi–Faridabad route, two major highways serving one of the country’s busiest and most dynamic regions. At both locations, ViaPlus will provide and operate the back-office systems, integrate the roadside equipment required for free flow tolling, and carry out image review for licence-plate-based transactions.

These projects come as India enters a new phase in the digital transformation of tolling. Electronic toll payment is already widely adopted across the country, and India is now moving toward free flow tolling as the next stage in the evolution of its highway network. The aim is to make road travel more seamless and more efficient at national scale, in a country where road mobility plays a central role in trade and daily life.

The two contracts build on a significant ViaPlus presence in India. In 2025, ViaPlus processed over 2.7 billion electronic toll transactions in the country, representing around 40% of the national total. That footprint makes ViaPlus a major player in the market and gives VINCI Highways a strong platform from which to support the next phase of India’s tolling transformation.

Those new contracts mark a further step for VINCI Highways as a long-term partner in the transformation of road mobility in India.
