VINCI Highways leverages AI to enhance license plate reading on HCTRA highways in Texas
VINCI Highways’ subsidiary ViaPlus has successfully delivered a new image review system for the Harris County Toll Road Authority (HCTRA), through a contract secured in April 2024. HCTRA is a public agency managing 205 km (128 miles) of free-flow highways in Houston and facilitates the movement of over 600 million vehicles annually. The partnership with ViaPlus delivers image review services with artificial intelligence to support HCTRA’s video tolling operations.

VINCI Highways expands predictive maintenance innovation to four new tunnels in Greece
VINCI Highways, concessionaire of the Athens-Pyrgos highway (Olympia Odos), together with its Greek partners Avax, Aktor and GEK Terna, has extended a predictive maintenance innovation to four large tunnels located the Patras Bypass. This marks the first stage of scaling up the new system, with the goal of ultimately equipping all tunnels on Olympia Odos highway in the future.

Athens-Patras highway becomes the first in Greece to deploy smart lighting system
Athens-Patras highway, part of VINCI Highways’ network, becomes the first in Greece to implement a smart lighting system that automatically adapts the intensity of the highway’s lighting to the level of traffic and to the quality of driving conditions. This initiative is step forward in VINCI Highways’ commitment to achieve operational Net Zero Emission on its network by 2050. The adaptive lighting system deployed on Athens-Patras highway is part of the best environmental projects recognized by the VINCI Group, through its Environmental awards.
